I began my career as a Food and Therapeutic Goods chemist for Nestle and went on to become a Food Scientist and Analytical Chemist; where I developed and tested nutritional panels and food claims.

For the last decade, I have worked as a Medical Scientist at Prince of Wales Hospital (NSW Health Pathology). I am an  expert, of biochemistry and endocrinology markers.  I also serve as a clinical projects coordinator; collaborating with numerous national and international hospitals and research laboratories.

When I'm not conducting research, you will find me presenting at national and international conferences, acting as a Consultant on the national Advisory Committee for Biogenic Amines as well as the national Advisory Committee for Vitamins. I currently serve as the NSW health pathology representative, and as a consultant for the Agency for Clinical Innovation in the field of Test Diets in which I reviews dietary requirements for various scientific tests.

I also author and contribute to many pioneering scientific papers and my work can be found in Journal of endocrine society, Journal of hormone and metabolic research and molecular genetics and metabolism (see publications).

My love for health and nutrition lead me to study a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2017.

Since then; as well as continuing my scientific work, I joined as a Public health Dietitian and speaker for a wellness series ‘On the Run’ in which I discuss the effect of nutrition on workplace performance.

From here I moved into the private sector and worked in aged care whilst simultaneously setting up my own private practice 'Talia Braun Nutrition'.

I have worked at Royal rehab private hospital as a Clinical Dietitian; where I work with patients requiring neurological rehabilitation.

I continue to upskill in dietetics, completing my course in FODMAP's through Monash University and Paediatric Nutrition for Dietitians course.

I currently work as a Private Practice Dietitian. I practice in the areas of: body composition, IBS and gut health management, NDIS clients, bariatric sleeves,  Arthritis, (RA/OA/PA) and anti inflammatory diets, adolescents, paediatrics, fussy eaters, ARFIDs, disordered eating and sports nutrition.

In addition to this I am a registered NDIS provider.

I work to deliver an exceptional patient experience with personalized, evidenced based, holistic care and support.
